The population of the world before the Flood was probably many
billions of people. This can be shown by making a few simple
calculation estimates.

see http://ldolphin.org/popul.html

By the time Adam died he had probably 10,000-100,000 offspring. Cain
was sought after by his relatives who wanted justice for the murder
of Abel. God protected Cain in hopes he would come to know the Lord.

At the time of the Flood the total world population was reduced to
only eight persons. (the Apostle Peter confirms this).

The world after the Flood was repopulated by the children of Shem,
Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah. See "Noah and His Sons" by Arthur
Cutsance, http://custance.org. And also, http://ldolphin.org/cooper.

After the Flood there were major climate changes, an ice age, and the
extinction of the dinosaurs in a subsequent catastrophe.

Human history began with Adam. Jesus, the Second or Last Adam, is a
direct descendant of the First Adam, and in Him a new race has begun.
All humans who have ever lived are descended from Adam and Eve. We
who live today are also direct descendants of Noah. There are no
other groups of human--there is only one human family.

David,

You may want to see how your thoughts relate to the verses below:

PS 51:11 Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.

LK 2:25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.

LK 3:21-22 When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased."

These would indicate that the Holy Spirit was here prior to and while Jesus was here.

The Holy Spirit did not arrive until after Jesus had ascended. Jesus will not return
until after the Holy Spirit has ascended. Maybe they can't be on the earth
at the same time? Maybe this supports the trinity doctrine in that they, and
the Father, are one and the same and therefore can not co-exist in this
physical universe according to the laws that God has established for it.
