NEW YORK -- The American Family Association today called on CBS
to immediately fire morning show host Bryant Gumbel over remarks
made on his television program on June 29. According to the AFA,
viewers of CBS's The Early Show were able to see Gumbel, in an
unguarded moment, caught on camera apparently referring to a
conservative guest with an expletive.

CONNECTICUT -- A school board is facing a class action lawsuit
after giving children as young as 11 a survey asking them about
sexual conduct, drug abuse and personal habits. The pending
lawsuit against the New Milford Board of Education is being
prepared by the Rutherford Institute on behalf of local parents
who were upset that their children received an invasive survey
without their parent's permission, according to a statement by
the institute.

FRANCE -- Missionaries and laypersons who share their faith in
Jesus could be imprisoned for up to two years under a proposed
French law that accuses religious proselytizers of 'mental
manipulation' of the public. Members of France's Socialist party

That is the big question. Some people say somewhere on the Temple Mount
away from the Dome, some say right where the Dome is, some say a couple
of miles away, etc. Check out http://www.bib-arch.org/barma00/temple1.html
for what Biblical Archaeology Review has to say on the subject. The Mount
is pretty big so I lean towards the theory that it will be somewhere up there
near the Dome (as I don't believe the Jews will settle for anywhere else but
there).

All The World Is Waiting For The Son Rise!
C. H. Baker - July, 2000

I have been reading reports of sightings of 'double' rainbows in various
parts of the world and it occurred to me that, in Genesis 9:13-14, we are
told about God making a covenant with the earth to the effect that He
would never, again, cover the earth with water. "I do set my bow in the
cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the
bow shall be seen in the cloud." I think the sightings of 'double'
rainbows could be God assuring the earth what is coming will not, repeat
not, involve covering it with water.

The environment the Lord God has chosen to bless us with is a quiet
residential area on the outskirts of Macon, Georgia, USA. We have an
abundance of trees, bushes, grass, birds, squirrels, etc. etc. Lately, it
has seemed to me that all of them are waiting for something, particularly
the growing things, and the Lord led me to Romans 8.

Romans 8:19 "For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the
manifestation of the sons of God." ('the creature', in the Greek, is:
"ktisis" original formation:—building, creation, creature, ordinance.)
('manifestation', in the Greek, is; "apokalupsis"; disclosure:—appearing,
coming, lighten, manifestation, be revealed, revelation.)

'The creature', I think, means all that was originally created by God,
'in the beginning'. (Please note: Adam was not 'created', he was made from
the dust of the earth, as are we all.) The 'Church' has been given the
'power to become the sons of God' but the Church does not yet know just
what it will be and I think all of 'creation' is waiting for it to be
disclosed, or to be revealed. The whole creation is earnestly awaiting
this 'manifestation' and I think it will happen in the near future.

Romans 8:20-21 "For the creature was made subject to vanity, not
willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of
corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God." ('vanity',
in the Greek, is: mataioteôs ; inutility.)

This tells us 'the creature' is not being used the way it should be but
is being 'misused'. Our scientists are telling us the same thing. They are
telling us man is misusing 'the creature' but what man does not realize is
that 'the creature', in ways we have no way of understanding, is also
aware of it and is looking for the day when it will be delivered from the
'bondage of corruption' into the same 'glorious liberty' that awaits 'the
children of God."

Romans 8:22 "For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth
in pain together until now."

There is no doubt the earth is suffering because of the way man is
mistreating it so I can understand why 'the whole creation is groaning and
travailing'. I think you can too!

PRAISE THE LORD ! ! !

Subject: [BPR] - Iran, Egypt may announce full ties
From: bpr-list@philologos.org("Moza")

Iran, Egypt may announce full ties

CRANS-MONTANA, Switzerland (Reuters) - Estranged Middle East
heavyweights Iran and Egypt may announce within weeks the resumption of
full diplomatic ties after 21 years of strained relations, a senior
Iranian official said on Friday.

"As far as I know there is a plan in the next few weeks to announce the
official resumption of full diplomatic relations," Iranian Deputy
Foreign Minister Mohammad Hossein Adeli said during a panel discussion
at the Crans-Montana business forum.

Iran broke diplomatic ties with Egypt in 1979 after Cairo signed a peace
treaty with Israel.

Egypt gave refuge to the shah after he was ousted by the late Ayatollah
Ruhollah Khomeini's Islamic revolution that same year. The shah died in
1980 and was buried in Cairo.

Egyptian-Iranian ties have improved markedly since Iran's reformist
President Mohammad Khatami was elected in 1997, but have stopped short
of the full normalisation that Khatami has said he wants.

Last week, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak telephoned Khatami in the
first top-level contact of its kind in more than two decades.

Mubarak, who came to power after Islamic radicals assassinated President
Anwar Sadat in 1981, called to congratulate Khatami on the decision of
the G-15 group of developing countries at a summit in Cairo to accept
Iran's application to join.

Last Friday , Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa said in published
remarks that the door was open for better Egyptian-Iranian relations.

"I think that with these trends that we have seen in recent years, one
would expect that this would continue in the future and we are expecting
to see some developments in the very near future," Adeli said.

The deputy foreign minister cited the improving tone of bilateral ties,
capped by the historic phone call between Khatami and Mubarak.

Cairo has said it cannot countenance a full restoration of ties until
Iran re-names a Tehran street named in honour of Khaled Islambouli, an
Islamic radical who assassinated Sadat.

Islamic hardliners in Iran oppose reconciliation with Egypt, a major
U.S. ally in the region. The Tehran offices of a newly set up Iran-Egypt
Friendship Society were ransacked in January.

[Moderator: Earlier Rick has sent a pic through the list,
but our mailer doesn't handle attachments very well. I
asked him if he had a URL instead that we could reference.
This is his response. The pic is in regards to a question
on how the temple could be built with the mosque standing
there now... Thanks Rick!]

Hi,

Okay I whipped this up so people could see. If anyone else on BPR
wants to add any more photos that would be great. I can upload them.

Thanks!
