Subject: [bprlist] Arab Angels?
From: Stafford's Mail <simmonds@freeuk.com>

Shalom dear friends

We have so much doom and gloom these days that the following report
from Jerry Golden brings a breath of fresh air today.

Blessings Stafford

Stafford's Mail <staffordsimmonds@ntlworld.com>

Jerry Golden "REPORT"

This is a report of a different kind. I feel in all fairness I must tell
you what happened to Connie and I on our way home from Jerusalem
tonight. We had car trouble again, this time I noticed the car was
getting very hot even going down hill. I pulled over and found that
the water hose was leaking in fact it had leaked all the water out of
the radiator. We were setting in front of a Palestinian neighborhood.
The car was so hot I thought the motor was surely damaged. Listening
to the radio as I pulled the car over I heard that there was an ambush
on the Gillo road and an Israel was killed only a few minutes ago, and
that was not but a mile from where we were at the time. To say we were
in a dangerous spot would be an understatement. My major concern was
for Connie and there was nothing I could do but pray that God would
send someone to help us.

A car pulled up, and out stepped four Arabs, in their late 20's and early 30's.
Not actually what I was looking for for help. I said God, this is
the help you send? But I felt the Holy Spirit beginning to move
inside me, and a calm fell over me, and I knew all was well, God was
there.

These four young men, had every thing I needed to patch that hose by
splicing the old one then using a peace of pipe fitting and they had
the extra hose clamps and the knowledge to fix our car good enough to
get us home. No one could ask for nicer guys these four were. They
seemed be more concerned in getting us out of that area than we were.
Does God send Arab Angels? Who knows, but I can tell you this, there
was something very special about these four young Arab men who found
us in the middle of the night broke down and at their mercy. They got
in their car and left as misterious as they came. We came on home,
needless to say thanking and praising God for being there for us.

Shalom, jerry

Dear Steven:

Thank you for your response to the twelve x 12,000. You wrote: "The
Church is always referred to as a woman......even false churches, such
as the woman riding the beast. In the Old Testament, GOD likened pagan
idol worship to fornification. Why should it mean anything
different here? With GOD's Peace,"
Steven Sykes

I agree that the Church is always referred to a woman and it was not
my intention to imply, in my writeup, that the Church is not a woman.
However, I am at a loss to know why you think I meant anything
different. There are many 'churches', but there is only one 'Virgin'
Christian Church. I think it is a 'virgin' because it refuses to
fornicate with the world, become a part of the world. It is 'betrothed'
to Our Lord Jesus Christ. On that basis, members of that Church can, I
think, be referred to as 'virgins'. I trust this meets with your
agreement Praise the Lord!

    God Bless you. Charlie Baker..

------- Forwarded message follows -------

From: "David
Subject: Matthew. Prayers answered

Aloha,

The surgeon, John Freeman, told us that he didn't expect to find
anything. He didn't even know where he was going to cut. 'Do I look at
the small bowel first, or the large bowel. You know, its very rare for
a surgeon to not even know where he should go in.'

The paediatritian in charge of the case, Simon James, told us three
times that we shouldn't expect anything to come out of this operation.
His thoughts were on a scrambled nervous system in a subsquently
inactive bowel, probably the large intestine and possibly seriously
affecting the small intestine.

Our personal paediatritian, Chris Lamb, who had deferred, rather
honourably, to Simon, but who was kept up with developments and
consulted with, did not hold out much hope.

John was of the same opinion as Simon and Chris, and I think that
Prof. Davidson, from another hospital, still wanted to do a biopsy.

Our faith and prayer kept us focussed. We didn't expect what the
doctors expected. We expected that God would present the surgeon with
something that could be fixed. Albeit we did both have flashes of a
useless bowel, but we had God on our side. It wasn't possible that all
of the prayer that has been going up could fail.

In my immediately previous email I outlined how our Pastor had
annointed layed hands on Matthew in preparation for the surgery.

I also noted that the reason this surgery was happening was because
Simon had awoken at 3 am Sunday morning with the thought that he must
have Matthew opened up.

Despite everybody expecting nothing operable but being driven by
despair and Simon's request following his waking thought, they went
ahead with it.

At 3 pm Monday Matthew was wheeled-off in his blue cot. I was told
he'd be about an hour. At 4.35 pm he wasn't back so I headed back to
work ('take whatever time you need') to get my briefcase and so on.
Deidre had Amber were at music lessons and we met up back at the
hospital at 5.30 pm. We learned later that the operation had not got
underway until around 5.00 pm.

At 7 pm we headed back to the hospital. They hadn't rung us to say he
was out so we expected to be waiting for him. My mum and dad were
sitting by his cot, grins on their faces. Rosie, the nurse who looked
after him in surgery, was grinning. My mum and dad had been crying.
Mum still was. Obviously something good had happened!

Matthew simply had a narrowing of the bowel. The tricky part was that
this narrow part, (5 inches were removed) was tucked up behind his
stomach preventing x-rays from revealing it. Rosie said she jumped up
and down and the surgeon's smile didn't need to be seen to know it was
there.

The relief was apparent in the nursing staff too, smiling and giving
thumbs up to us from different parts of the neonatal unit.

Prayers were answered in the best possible manner; no treatment with
this or that concoction; just time for healing. He should be home in a
couple of weeks . . . and we've got some catching up to do! :)

Thank you all for your prayers and support.

God Bless
David, Deidre, Amber, and Matthew

When the prayer request for Matthew first came across the list, I shared it
with four teenagers I homeschool. We prayed together for Matthew each day.
Of course, I'm thrilled. Of course, I recognized the privilege. But the
experience for these kids!

We have been praying with them, trying to teach them the centrality prayer
must have in our lives.
What a lesson God had prepared for them!

Like I wrote earlier, what a privilege, what a privilege. Thank you and
praise be to God!

From: Syksteven

I have noticed how, very often certain numbers are used over and over again.
The Bible doesn't give an explanation for this. I shy away from trying to
"add or subtract" anything to the simple message that is usually given. I
think we can get into trouble when we try to develop ideas based on some
oddity from the Bible. Most of the time, (though not always) the Bible does
a pretty good job of explaining itself. When it doesn't......well,.....maybe
it's not that important.

When the Lord is ready to reveal something....He doesn't leave much room for
doubt to the individuals He is revealing it too. Look at the examples given;
Paul, Moses, the sheppards in the field, any of the prophets, etc. Did any
of these figure out their "revelations" themselves, by studying numbers or
even scripture? The examples given us in the Bible show that scriptures are
usually used to confirm "special" revelations (Isa.8:20)......not give them.

In GOD's peace,
Steven Sykes

*** Identix Biometric Security Products Receive Microsoft

Identix Incorporated (Amex: IDX), the worldwide leader in providing
biometric authentication, security and identification solutions,
announced that its BioLogon software and BioTouch PC Card fingerprint
reader received certification for Windows 2000 Professional from
Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT). Identix's products are the first
biometric software plus hardware solution to be qualified by Microsoft

*** And Now, the Good Side Of Facial Profiling

It seemed like an Orwellian revelation: Last week, law enforcement
officials at Super Bowl XXXV in Tampa secretly scanned spectators'
faces with surveillance cameras and instantly compared their
"faceprints" against those of suspected terrorists and known criminals
in a computerized database. Alarmed civil libertarians quickly raised
the specter of a Big Brother government spying on its citizens. But is
the growing use of this technology cause for alarm? Is it an
undesirable invasion of individual privacy, or does it represent a
positive advance in security measures that generates benefits for
society? As someone who closely follows law and policy issues related
to biometrics -- technologies that use a person's physical
characteristics or personal traits for recognition -- I believe we
must not move precipitously to condemn a technology that can serve as
a useful tool in the fight against crime and terrorism.

*** FORECASTS IN THE NEXT FUTURIST

The March-April 2001 issue of THE FUTURIST features part II of the
excerpt from the special report "50 Trends Now Changing the World" by
Marvin Cetron and Owen Davies. Here, the authors focus on trends in
technology, the workplace, management, and institutions. Among their
forecasts:

* By 2005, the global population of Internet users will reach at least
300 million. By 2010, 95% of people in the industrialized world and
50% of those in developing countries will be online.

* By 2010, New York, Tokyo, and Frankfurt will emerge as transfer
points for passengers of high-speed, large-capacity supersonic planes.

* Airline crashes will decline and result in fewer fatalities.
Reasons: safer seat design, flash-resistant fuels, and improved
navigation and communication technologies for transoceanic flights.

*** FEELING CHEATED ABOUT THE FUTURE?

A recent national opinion poll in Britain found that many people as
disappointed in the twenty-first century because it isn't as
futuristic as they thought it would be. Evidently the robotic puppies,
mobile phones, and wireless Web gadgets that they got for Christmas
just weren't enough.

What did they expect? Among other things, nearly half of those polled
said they expected the new century to offer routine Moon travel,
holidays on Jupiter and Mars, robots that do the household chores, and
cars that fly.

"Our poll shows just how quickly the year 2001 has crept up on all of
us," says Jackie Highe, editor of BELLA magazine, which sponsored the
survey conducted by National Opinion Poll
(mailto:nopinfo@nopres.co.uk). "While we might wish we were all flying
around in aerial cars, perhaps at the same time we should be thankful
that other things remain down-to-earth."

Subject: [bprlist] Jews and Virgins
From: Pam

Dear Steve:
Thank you for your reply. You wrote: "It sounds like your saying
the 144,000 are "Jewish" and/or literal virgins,
not having slept with women." I would appear, Steve, that I did not
make myself clear and I apologize. I am saying the 144,000 will be
Jewish but not that they will be literal virgins. I think they will be
144,000 accredited male Jewish descendants of the original 12 tribes and
they will be 'virgins' by virtue of being Christians, in the true sense
of the word. As such, they will be 'spiritual' virgins, just as I think
all 'true' Christians are spiritual virgins. I apologize for failing to
make myself clear.
I think you are wrong when you say: "Also most Israelites were
never "Jews". I am sure you will find there are many, many Israelites
who can trace their ancestry back to the original 12 tribes, not only in
Israel but in other parts of the world where there are Jews . A Jew is
a Jew who has a Jewish father and has been circumcised on the eighth
day. That is my understanding of the term 'Jew'. What is yours?
I do not think Zionism has anything to do with 'Jewishness' any more
than belonging to a particular Christian denomination has any thing to
do with being a Christian, in the eyes of God. Praise the Lord!
I agree that only God knows who is a 'true' Christian, Steve,
because a Christian believes in his heart that God raised Jesus from the
dead and only God know what anyone believes in their heart. Praise the
Lord!
    God Bless you. Charlie Baker.
