Dear Tracy:

We should, indeed, listen to children, Tracy, and we should 'learn to
listen to the real issues'. We will not, however, learn those issues from
children but we can learn them from God, if we let Him speak to us, as
children, with the openmindedness of children, to what He tells us, through
His word, the Bible. He makes it very, very clear that peace in society and
the economic and governmental peace, for which we all hope, will not follow
until all, on earth, have accepted Jesus Christ as His only begotten Son. I
hope you will take the time to read His word because, from it, you can learn
how to have that peace in your life, today. Praise the Lord!

God Bless you. Charlie Baker.

So if a person isn't supposed to be "moral" in their thinking, then they
should be "amoral" and this is a good thing?

Call me "moralistic" but after reading the article, how anyone listening to
Eminem could be remotely considered constructive remains unclear. Children
have been physically and mentally abused and had their parents be poor role
models since humans were created. The "fact" that I now have no
responsibility for my actions because I was mistreated or believing the
"older" generation doesn't understand because they never had to go through
any of this, isn't new either. The "moralistic" people got that way by
finding the narrow path out of the darkness. The "amoral" people love the
darkness. Blaming others or parents for their poor influence while the
younger generation remains righteous is definitely nothing new and something
I was guilty of myself.

PR 30:11-12 "There are those who curse their fathers and do not bless
their mothers;
those who are pure in their own eyes and yet are not cleansed of their
filth;

The article indicates that he makes "half the sh-- up" to make people mad
and doesn't advocate it himself. This sounds like he is attempting to shock
people so the kids will buy his "music". This is nothing new either just
effective "worldly" marketing. Personally for me it's not shocking, just
repulsive.

Eminem is quoted as saying, "he explains that listeners shouldn't take to
heart when he raps about harming others or himself, and that violent,
destructive actions like Stan's make him sick". Evidently he doesn't clearly
explain this in his "music" because people (as the article states) are
taking it to heart. Saying he doesn't like it doesn't absolve Eminem of any
responsibility for his lyrics or the actions he is influencing. If he is of
such high character, why not write music explaining how to overcome our
pasts. Continuing to produce "music" like he currently does is influencing
behavior Eminem "says" he dislikes. Otherwise, "saying" he dislikes it is
just lip service.

EPH 4:29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths,
but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs,
that it may benefit those who listen.

This next quote is a prime example of duplicity. The article states, "He
advocates personal culpability for heinous acts, mocking the idea that he
should be blamed for evil deeds committed by others merely because they
heard him talk about them". So everyone else should be held "culpable" for
their deeds except him.

PR 11:3 The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are
        destroyed by their duplicity.

Also, since when is our words separate from our deeds? The last time I
checked, we would be held accountable for causing others to "stumble".

MT 18:7 "Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to
sin!
Such things must come, but woe to the man through whom they come!

My personal opinion is that instead of praising Eminem for his current
contribution to society, we should continue to pray for Eminem to come to a
saving faith in Jesus Christ. Once his focus is on Christ, then he can truly
help society.

So the advice I will try to follow when it comes to people feeling the need
to "vent" their anger is:

PR 22:24-25 Do not make friends with a hot-tempered man, do not associate
with one easily angered, or you may learn his ways and get yourself
ensnared.

Peace to you and yours,

Norm

Subject: [bprlist] Why a Carpenter?
From: <owner-bpr@philologos.org>
Date: Sun, 18 Feb 2001 13:02:13 -0500

I'm currently reading a book titled "In the Footsteps of Jesus: One
Man's Journey Through the Life of Christ" by Bruce Marchiano.
The author is the actor that played Jesus in the movie Matthew:
The Visual Bible by Visual Entertainment. Just let me say real
quick, that if you haven't seen this work, you should. What a great
gift it would make for you and your family. Every time I watch it, I
pick up something new to carry with me for a while. It is a word
for word recreation of the Gospel of Matthew according to the
NIV translation. You will absolutely love it.

Anyway, the book I'm reading now by Marchiano is a behind the
scenes look at the filming of the movie. But more than giving the
day to day struggles of making a movie and all the work that is
involved, the book gives us a look at the changes that took place
in the actor's life and how these changes brought him closer to
the man, Jesus. One of the things that impressed Marchiano while
researching the role of Jesus was the physicality of Christ.
Every time Jesus is portrayed in art or movies, he is this guy with
feminine features, rosy cheeks, hands that looked like they were
just manicured, etc. But in reality, Jesus was probably just the
opposite.

Marchiano writes:

"Jesus was no spoiled kid raised on satin pillows. His earthly
father was a blue-collar worker, a laborer -- a carpenter by trade.
He was a man who worked with his hands, earning a living by
the sweat of his brow. And as his firstborn son, Jesus would
necessarily have followed suit...

"It's a picture of Jesus we seldom think about: perspiring in the
sun from dawn to dusk, hoisting timbers, carving, shaping,
sawing, sanding. Panting in the afternoon heat, hair matted with
dirt and dust and workshop grime. Working endless hours into
the night, pushing to meet deadlines over the days, weeks, years.
Singing psalms at the top of His lungs while planning doors,
carving plows, and fitting ox yokes." (p. 125)

It's a picture of Jesus we just don't often see or think about.

Not too long ago a woman at work, after having seen some
documentary of the early life of Jesus, asked me where Jesus
was during his youth. There is no record of his life from his
teenage years to when he showed up to be baptized by John at
the age of 30. Where was he? I wished I had read these
thoughts by Marchiano that I'm going to share with you now so
that I could have answered her.

His life as a carpenter is something we just assume because of
Joseph's trade. And if the assumption is correct, why a carpenter
then?

To possibly answer that question, Marchiano's research came
across something interesting about the flogging of prisoners:

"One of those discoveries had to do with the Roman flogging
Jesus suffered at the hands of Pontius Pilate. I was shocked to
learn most prisoners didn't even survive it. Most guys would die
right there, as their bodies were flayed open by the metal, bone,
and rock laced through the leather thongs. And of the handful
who did survive, most would seize in shock and go mad or
comatose as their systems shut down against the onslaught of
pain and violation." (p. 126)

Marchiano cautions us in thinking that because Jesus was the
Son of God that he could make it through such torture "with
shining colors." The fact is, aside from his deity, Jesus was 100%
man, just a blue-collar worker with a mission and a message.

What was Jesus possibly doing during his early years?
Marchiano suggests that he was being conditioned for his mission
-- spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, *and* physically. While the
first three may seem obvious to us, the physical aspects of this
conditioning was something new to me.

"Do you realize how fit, how tough, how stalwart, how powerful
His body must have been to take that mountain of assault and still
have the grit to tackle Golgotha -- to still have the might in His legs
to climb that hill and the force in His arms to pull against those
nails for hours before finally, inevitably giving out?"

"Did you ever wonder, Why a carpenter? Why not some more
prestigious profession, something more befitting the Son of the
Living God? In view of the physical demands of the cross, I can't
help but marvel at how those years as a carpenter would have
served so perfectly to condition Jesus for every step of it. I mean,
the Father knew His Son would need a serious measure of
strength and endurance to fulfill His mission, and what better way
to build that in Him than 20-plus years of heavy labor!

"Amazing thought, isn't it? It screams of the Father's attention to
detail, the subtlety with which He works, and the totality with
which He equips and provides." (p. 126)

Amazing thought indeed! A thought that can be carried over to
our own lives. Think about it. Look over that last 20 years of your
life -- what conditioning has taken place spiritually, emotionally,
intellectually *and* physically?

Subject: [bprlist] Bush's Faith-based Initiative, etc.
From: "David C.
Date: Mon, 19 Feb 2001 08:27:32 -0500

Greetings, group!

Does Bush's faith-based initiative sound fishy to you? It should, as the
following Christian article explains in great detail. (Thanks Berit for
writing this - another great article amongst the many on your website!)

http://www.crossroad.to/articles2/faith-based.htm

Now you may be saying, "but Bush is a Christian." Maybe, maybe not - I
really doubt he is. (If you want more information on Bush's beliefs, let me
know, and I'll look for some links to web articles.)

On the international scene, the Democrats and Republicans are very
likeminded in their goal of globalization and the New World Order. In fact,
George Bush Sr. used the term "New World Order" frequently. A term coined
by the Masons and Illuminati (high level Masons), "New World Order" appears
in Latin on the back of our one-dollar bills (below the pyramid). I would
daresay that the white Christian community is just as deceived into
following the "Christian" Bushes (and other Republican presidents) as the
black Christian community is deceived into following the "Christians"
Clinton and Gore (and other Democratic presidents). Most if not all the
presidents throughout our country's history have been Masons, and the
Masons' goal of a one-world New World Order was well known even by George
Washington. But that's another topic...

Back to Bush's faith-based initiative: I can speak from experience, that
our federal government does NOT keep its hands off of churches it provides
funds to. I worked as bookkeeper for a local corps of The Salvation Army
for over six years. A big part of my job was processing FEMA funds and FEMA
applications. The FEMA rules were very stringent back then and I felt they
were an imposition on the church (that was 1985-1992). I'm sure the FEMA
program is even more hands-on now, in its requirements of churches.

On another note, I sent an email recently describing the IRS seizure of
Indianapolis Baptist Church. In view of this IRS seizure, do we really want
our federal government to have a greater hand in funding our churches'
charitable efforts?

Any feedback on this would be welcome.

God bless you - Dave

Church debates same sex unions
ELCA ponders reading Bible plainly, in context
By VIKKI ORTIZ
of the Journal Sentinel staff
Last Updated: Feb. 18, 2001

Brookfield - Sharp disagreement over whether the Evangelical Lutheran
Church in America should endorse same sex unions continued Sunday, as
nearly 600 people listened, discussed and even shed tears over the
issue that many believe could someday split the church.

"I believe that the arms of the ELCA are broad enough that we can
allow (same sex unions) to happen in some of our churches," said the
Rev. Herbert Chilstrom, one of two prominent officials asked to speak
to a packed-room of church members with varying positions on
homosexuality and same sex unions. Chilstrom is the former presiding
bishop of the national ELCA.

But the Rev. John Beem, who also spoke, argued that the Bible and
years of scholarly Biblical interpretation do not show any support
for the homosexual unions, and without that they should not be
permitted.

"If we base our decisions on simply liking them, or it seems like the
right thing to do, then I think we're making a mistake," said Beem,
the former bishop of Wisconsin's East Central Synod.

The speeches came during the first of three public dialogues local
leaders scheduled to help sort through controversy that has been
brewing since Milwaukee became the first synod in the ELCA to approve
the blessings of same-sex unions last spring.

The Milwaukee synod's annual assembly voted 141-103 last May to pass
a resolution that "recognizes and affirms the blessings of such
committed same-gender relationships by pastors of this synod after
counseling of the couple seeking such a blessing."

Since the vote, at least 19 congregations in the synod have talked
about jointly submitting a resolution to have the policy rescinded,
officials said.

Palestine on verge of collapse
By correspondents in Jerusalem and New York, and AFP

http://theaustralian.com.au/common/story_page/0,4511,1725603%
255E2703,00.html

ISRAELI sanctions have brought Yasser Arafat's Palestinian Authority
to the verge of collapse, the UN warned yesterday, as secretary-
general Kofi Annan appealed to Israelis and Palestinians to resume
peace talks.

Mr Annan said in a statement that Israel's economic blockade of the
West Bank and Gaza "deprive the Palestinian Authority of necessary
financial resources and aggravate the serious economic and social
crisis".

He told Israeli prime minister-elect Ariel Sharon he was "very
concerned about the capacity" of the Palestinian Authority to
function.

Earlier, the UN's special co-ordinator for the Middle East peace
process, Terje Roed-Larsen, said "the fiscal crisis is acute"
and "Palestinian institutions may crumble in the very near future",
which would lead to further violence.

The crisis flowed from Israel's decision to withhold from the
authority transfers of value-added tax collected by Israeli customs
officials.

Mr Roed-Larsen said that $US50 million ($96 million) a month was
needed "to keep the Palestinian Authority afloat", and the money held
back by Israel already totalled $US54 million.

The authority was relying on a bank overdraft to pay the salaries of
its doctors, teachers and civil servants for February and "within a
few weeks it will be unable to pay salaries at all".

Mr Annan expressed "grave concern at the growing cycle of violence
and counter-violence" after two Palestinians and an Israeli soldier
were killed yesterday. Their deaths take to 415 the number of people
killed since the start of the Palestinian uprising on September 28.

Warning that more violence could have "very serious consequences for
the entire region," Mr Annan called on both sides to "exercise
maximum restraint and caution, and to resume their dialogue in order
to achieve a just, lasting and comprehensive peace".

He said he had instructed Mr Roed-Larsen to undertake urgent
consultations to prevent the destabilisation of the Palestinian
territories.

Mr Roed-Larsen said he would visit Washington tomorrow and Wednesday
for talks with senior US State Department and White House officials.
He had discussed with European officials the transfer of financial
aid to the authority.

In September, before the violence began, he said unemployment was
running at 10 to 11 per cent and the Palestinian Authority had
managed to balance its budget.

Unemployment was now at an average of 38 per cent, and exceeded 50
per cent in some areas, where people were living below the poverty
level of $US2.10 dollars a day, he said.

"The crisis in living conditions leads to crisis in attitudes," he
said, adding that "a clear majority of Palestinians" were now opposed
to the peace process and support for extremist groups was rising.

ARAFAT'S COFFERS EMPTY AFTER MONTHS OF FIGHTING
The Palestinian Authority's support checks for families of uprising
victims have bounced. Government ministries can't cover phone bills
and have had to borrow heavily from private banks to meet the
payroll. Five months of fighting with Israel have emptied Yasser
Arafat's public coffers and plunged the West Bank and Gaza Strip into
a severe economic crisis, prompting unprecedented warnings by Israel

PANIC AS FRESH QUAKE ROCKS EL SALVADOR
A third earthquake in El Salvador in five weeks has sent thousands of
people fleeing into the streets. The tremor hit at 3 p.m. local time
(2100 GMT) and lasted seven seconds with its epicenter was in Santa
Tecla, about 15 minutes by car from the capitol city of San Salvador.
Its magnitude was not immediately reported. Local radio reported that
landslides had forced officials to close several roads. Cell phones
went out, but televisions continued to transmit. Local television
reports put the magnitude at 6.2, but the National Emergency
Committee said it registered 5.3.

EXPERT: SYRIA 'WALKING A TIGHTROPE'
Syria believes it has more to gain than lose by allowing Hizbullah to
continue sporadic attacks against the IDF in a clearly-defined target
area where its operations can be justified, according to Syrian
affairs and conflict theory expert Prof. Gabriel Ben-Dor. The new-old
regime of President Bashar Assad wishes to avoid all-out military
conflict with Israel, however, and is therefore most unlikely to heed
the warmongering calls of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, said Ben-
Dor, of the department of Political Science at Haifa University.

Netanyahu said he believed Sharon's offer was not serious and that he

both Netanyahu and Prime Minister Ehud Barak to join the

Netanyahu told reporters. "I am saying this on behalf of the State of

RUSSIAN MISSILE TEST SENDS MESSAGE
Russia test-launched two ballistic missiles Friday, sending a sharp
warning to the Bush administration even as Moscow and Washington are
warily feeling out their new relationship. The tests came amid bitter
Russian opposition to U.S. plans for a national missile defense
system and toughening rhetoric from both nations' top military and
security officials. The strident tone has at times recalled the Cold
War, and Russian officials warn that the missile shield may trigger a
new arms race--including missiles in space. But analysts agree that
Russia couldn't afford such a race.

now investigating the theft. Police officials are on a high alert,
concerned the stolen hydrogen cyanide could be used in other crimes.

New science and technology standards under consideration in

said that he had changed his mind about the human rights implications
of a universal DNA database. "When this idea was first put forward
about 10 years ago I had considerable concerns over civil liberties
issues. On reflection, I'm now actually in favour of this."

EXPERTS DOUBT THAT EXTREME LIFE EXPECTANCY POSSIBLE
Human life expectancy has increased by three decades since 1900 and
may reach 85 for babies born in this century, but that may be near
the upper limit unless science finds ways to dramatically slow the
aging process, some researchers say. Claims by some scientists that
humans in this century will have a life expectancy of 100 or even 120
are not realistic and not supported by the trends measuring the rates
of death, S. Jay Olshansky of the University of Illinois, Chicago
said Sunday.

KANSAS EVOLUTION DEBATE LINGERS JUST BEYOND THE SPOTLIGHT
The Kansas State Board of Education voted Wednesday to restore
evolution to a prominent position in the state's science testing
standards, closing the official book on whether evolution or
intelligent design should be taught in the state's classrooms. But
the debate rages on outside the classroom as parents, educators and
politicians struggle to agree on definitive answers to life's
origins. Each side has enjoyed recent victories - and suffered just
as recent defeats - in Kansas.

SUN FLIPS MAGNETIC FIELD
The poles of the sun's powerful magnetic field have reversed,
signaling a time of peak solar activity that could spell trouble for
planet Earth, astronomers said this week. The sun's magnetic north
and south poles were in their respective northern and southern
hemisphere several months ago. Yet since then they have migrated to
the opposite sides of the star. The bipolar flip did not take
astronomers by surprise. It takes place like clockwork on the sun,
once about every 11 years.

CULT SCIENTISTS PREPARE TO CLONE HUMAN BABY
Work begins next month on creating the world's first cloned baby. It
is intended to be given to a couple who want to recreate their 10-
month-old son who died in a hospital operation. The controversial
process is being undertaken in America by a secretive commercial
organisation called Clonaid, registered in the Bahamas. A geneticist,
a biochemist and an in-vitro fertilisation expert have been
commissioned to produce a genetic copy of the dead baby. The unnamed
couple, described as deadly serious about their ambition, have paid
=A3300,000 to fund the work. http://www.sunday-

DOTCOM CHURCHES: MINISTRY OR MARKETING?
Like many congregations across the country, the Fellowship Church in
Grapevine, Texas, is setting up a fancy site on the Internet to reach
out to a new generation of parishioners. But unlike other churches'
sites, the Fellowship website, launching today, won't stop with
soothing sermons and inspiring Bible messages from Job. People who
visit the site can customize it to fit their needs, calling up
scriptural verses, movie reviews, stock quotes - even horoscopes. The
church has even changed its name to Fellowshipchurch.com and hired an
official "technology pastor."

Please understand where I am coming from when I ask this question, I'm not trying to be confrontational. Are his coffers and stores really empty? Might this be another attempt to lull us all to sleep and therefore stop the intercession that has been going up over this whole situation? Just a provoking question.

Shalom dear friends

I have forwarded Jerry Golden's latest monthly newsletter in its
entirety as it contains some interesting references to the Temple
Mount, the coming earthquake, Israel as a nation and the kippah
(yarmulke).

You may have read some of it before - Jerry compiles his newsletter
from previous mailings.

The coming Earthquake on the Mt. of Olive=92s

When Messiah Yeshua plants His feet there.

This earthquake in India and the recent one in Turkey and even the one
in South America are some of the worse I can ever remember hearing
about. The highest estimates for India is now over 100,000 dead. There
is no way anyone can make be believe we are not seeing end time
prophecy and not to mention the judgement of God Almighty.

Many so-called Prophets are saying that the earthquake on the Mount of
Olive mentioned in Zech. 14:4 will cause the Mediterranean Sea to run
into the Dead Sea. But that is not what the Word says. I have been
working with some numbers to bring this truth home to you. First lets
read Zechariah 14:4. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the
mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount
of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and
towards the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of
the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half toward the south.

My map says that the Mount of Olives is 782 Meters high that is around
2600 feet above Sea Level. That means that the "cleave" mentioned in
the above Scripture would have to be at least 2600 feet deep. And you
would have to add at least another 50 feet to that for water to flow
from the Mediterranean Sea to Dead Sea and it=92s 1300 feet below sea
level (the lowest place on earth). Add to that the fact that this
valley will have to run from Jerusalem to the Med. Sea, around 65 Km.
Then from Jerusalem to the Dead Sea, another 45 Km. We would have a
valley caused by an earthquake that is 2650 feet deep, and 110 Km.
long.

There has never been anything like this ever happen on earth in the
history of mankind. I don=92t believe there has ever been anything like
it since creation. And if this was to happen it would most likely kill
every living creature within hundreds of miles. But lets now read
verse: 8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out
from Jerusalem; half of them towards the former sea, (Mediterranean)
and half of them towards the hinder sea: (Dead Sea) in summer and in
winter shall it be.

Now we can see quiet easily what is going to happen, the Messiah
"Yeshua" on His return, will plant His feet on the Mount of Olives,
and there will be an earthquake, it will cause the Mount of Olive=92s to
split even up to the Temple Mount. With the Mount of Olive=92s split
water will be able to easily run to the Dead Sea, as it already runs
to the Dead Sea through the Kidron Valley. This can be seen at the
Greek Monastery of Mar Saba near Bet Sahur. With this water running
from the Temple Mount it would have no problem finding its way to the
Soreq River that runs near Bet Shemesh and into the Mediterranean Sea.

So there will be a terrible earthquake, but not the one so many are
prophesying will happen. And while I am at it, the water is not
running from the Temple Mount today, I have proven that and even made
a video on the subject. But you can be sure it will and it will be a
river, not a single drop of water on somebody=92s head from a sewage
leak.

We find more Scripture on this subject in Ezekiel 47:1-12. Verse :1
says the water will come out from under the house. In reference to the
Temple Mount or the House of God. Verse:8 Then said he unto me, These
waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert,
and go into the sea; which being brought forth into the sea, the
waters shall be healed. (The dead waters of the Dead Sea will be
healed) The next verse tells us that there will be many fish. And in
verse :10 we see that Fishermen will do very well fishing there.

So the two seas will not run together, this will be fresh water and it
will come from the Temple Mount, and when you read Ezekiel 47 you will
see that it is no little stream it is a river.

Sharon won, and Arafat is happy.

Ariel Sharon won and Yasser Arafat is happy he did, but you won=92t hear
that on the news. The reason he is so happy is simple, he was scared
to death he=92d go the way of Saddat and Begin, who were both
assassinated by the extreme elements in their midst, for trying to
make peace. Of course there are other reason as well. He knows full
well that he cannot handle a State, after all he is a terrorist not a
statesman. The whole idea of Olso was to make Yasser Arafat into a
Statesman, to make him so busy taking care of "his people" that he
wouldn=92t have time for terrorism. Now Oslo is dead and Arafat is
trying to stay alive at any cost.

Arafat knows no other way to survive except to kill children, Jewish
or Arabic it makes no difference to him. In fact, right now and all
through last night the Palestinians have been shooting into a Jewish
Neighborhood "Pisgat Ze=92ev" Those who are shooting know full well that
one of their targets was a Kindergarten full of 4 and 5 year old
children. I don=92t think you will hear that on CNN either. Thank God
all the children were taken out in time to save them. You can also be
sure that attacks are being carried out even at this very moment, with
the approval of Yasser Arafat.

Hebron where our son is stationed in the IDF, Ramallah, Gaza, and
Nablus are all under heavy Palestinian fire right now. I don=92t know
about you, but this sure sounds like war to me. The bomb that exploded
in the heart of Jerusalem yesterday was a large bomb and it was a
miracle no one was killed. There was one IDF Soldier wounded this
morning near the Egyptian border south of Gaza, he is in the Hospital
under stable condition. We have not got any numbers of deaths or
injuries yet today, but from what I know they may well be very high.

The U.S. Army who were stationed in Germany and the U.S. Navy who were
stationed offshore in the Med. have come to Israel with the Patriot
Missiles for a joint exercise with Israel. That is not an exercise if
you ask me, it is more of a preparation for war.

The International News seems to be upset with the Election here in
Israel. Yet I never hear about the fact, that the Palestinians have no
elections. And you can be sure there are tens of thousands of
Palestinians who would like to get rid of Arafat, but it would cost
them their life to say so. Yet you never hear that on CNN either.

It seems to be obvious that things are about to get much worse here in
Israel, and there is no other word for it than war. Please pray for
Joel, and for this ministry. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray for
all of Israel if you would. Shalom Jerry Golden

Yarmulke known in Israel as a Kippah

Symbol of Jewish piety has been the wearing of the Head-Cap known as
the Kippah or Yarmulke. The Orthodox Jewish men wear it as a sign of
their reverence before God. Many Jews outside of Israel wear it to
identify with Israel and the Jewish people. It is also a custom among
many Messianic Jews.

Some "Christians" have raised objections to the wearing of the Kippah
on the basis of Scripture. Causing confusion to many Messianic Jews,
for they were told they could keep their Jewish identity when
accepting the Messiah Yeshua. That they dodn=92t become any less Jewish
but in fact, become better Jews by accepting their Messiah. With
Scripture being our ultimate authority, we should look deeper into
what it actually says on this matter.

I Corinthians 11:4-15 is the Scripture in question, in this Scripture
Paul is making an argument for the distinction between the sexes,
based upon the creation order. He speaks of hair length as a creation
order. Then goes on to speak of head covering as another reflection of
this order. The Kippah was not a fashion at the time Paul wrote this
passage, but we still need to see if the passage has relevance to this
issue.

V:4-15 Every man praying or "prophesying" having his head covered,
dishonoreth his head. But every women that prayeth or prophesieth with
her head uncovered dishonoreth her head. : for that is even all one as
if she were shaven. For if the women be not covered ,let her also be
shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her
be covered. For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as
he is the image and glory of God: but the women is the glory of the
man. For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.
Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of
the angels. Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither
the woman without the man, in the Lord. For as the woman is of the man,
even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God. Judge in
yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered? Doth
not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is
a shame unto him. But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her:
for her hair is given her for a covering.

As we read this Scripture the first thing we find is that all
legalistic religions have inconsistencies. These same people who say
this Scripture says a man cannot wear a Kippah, never say that a women
must cover her head. In fact, some go a step further and the women who
have long hear put it up in a bun on the top of their heads.

To understand this or any other Scripture we must first understand its
cultural context as well as the original historical setting. (This is
why it is so important to understand the Jewishness of Yeshua to
understand His Words) This scripture of I Corinthians 11: 4-15 covers
a lot of subjects, having to do with the culture and history relating
to male and female distinctions, including style of dress and grooming.
Possibly the first question we should be asking is what Paul meant by
the veil and headcovering and its relationship to the length of hair.
There is a lot of evidence in this Scripture that Paul is not talking
about a Kippah or Yarmulke. But is is very clear that he is speaking
about a particular kind of veil, a large veil that would cover all of
a women=92s "long" hair. The woman=92s hair was considered her glory,
considered to be beautiful and attractive while covering her head. It
was not allowed to hang loose, that was indicative of a loose woman.
The Tenach (Old Testament) is clear on this point. Isaiah 3:17,
Numbers 5:18. The Jewish law is so strong on this that if a women
walked bear headed after marriage her husband could divorce her on
that one point.

So after reading and examining the evidence of this Scripture we can
but come to one conclusion; Paul is not talking about a Kippah in fact,
he had never seen one. What we must consider above all else is what
the Biblical teacher was trying to teach, and not apply our own
interpretation to it. The Kippah or Yarmulke is permitted, and I can
find neither a reason to wear one or a reason not to wear one in the
Scripture. The head cover of Paul=92s day had absolutely no relationship
to today=92s Kippah.

Whose Holy Land? & Whose Temple Mount?

FIRST ISRAEL

Israel became a nation 3313 years ago, on the year BCE 1312, that is
2000 years before anyone ever heard of Islam. The word Palestine came
from the word Philistine, which was a name given to the Land of Israel
by the Romans in an attempt to obliterate the Jewish connection to
Zion. We Jews have had a continuous presence in the Land of Israel for
over 3000 years.

Gen. 17:7-8

And I will establish My covenant between Me and thee and thy seed
after thee in their generation for an everlasting covenant to be a God
to thee, and to thy seed after thee. And I will give to thee, and to
thy seed after thee, the Land in which thou dost sojourn, ALL THE LAND
OF CANAAN, FOR AN EVERLASTING POSSESSION, AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD.

Gen. 35:10,12

And God said unto him, thy name is Jacob; thy name shall not be called
any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name, and He called his name
Israel. And the land which I gave Abraham and Isaac, to thee I will
give it AND TO THY SEED AFTER THEE WILL I GIVE THE LAND.

Leviticus 25:23

THE LAND SHAL NOT BE SOLD FOR EVER: for the land is mine, for ye are
Strangers and sojourners with me.

II Kings 21:7

The Lord said to David and Solomon his son, in this house and in
Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all My tribes of Israel, will I
put My name on for ever.

Psalms 137:5-6

If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.
If I do not remember thee let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth,
if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.

In these troubling days I read this one on a regular basis.

Isaiah 31:4-5

For thus has the Lord spoken to me, like the lion and the young lion
roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth
against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself
for the noise of them; so shall the LORD OF HOSTS COME DOWN TO FIGHT
FOR MOUNT ZION, and for its hill. As birds flying, so will the LORD OF
HOST DEFEND JERUSALEM; HE WILL DEFEND AND DELIVER IT; and passing over
it he will preserve it.

The Tenach (Old Testament) mentions Jerusalem over 700 times. The
Koran (The Moslem bible) never mentions Jerusalem once. The Koran
mentions Mecca and Medina hundreds of times. There has never been a
Palestine as an entity under the control of Palestinians. There is no
known Palestinian culture, or a Palestinian language. Palestinians are
Arabs and the Arabs control over 99% of the Land Mass of the Middle
East. Israel is but one tenth of 1 per cent of the Land Mass.

THE TEMPLE MOUNT

This is the ancient site of the two Temples. This is the Holiest site
for the entire Jewish people. This is the place were the Holy of
Holies rested. Where the Ark of the Covenant stood, the place of
atonement. This is where the light of God "Shechina Glory" shone in
all His glory. This is what the Devil whats, to steal from the people
of God in the last days. He is a defeated liar and he will not succeed.

I will not print all the Scriptures confirming who this Land was
given to. But I will give you a few references to look up for your
self.

I Kings 9:1-3, Gen. 22:1-2, Ex. 6:4, Ex. 6:8, Jer. 32:37, 40-41, Zech.
8:1-3, Zech. 8:7-8, Zech. 1:14-17, Joel 4:1-2, Amos 9:14-15, Zech.
12:7-9

There are many more in fact, we could cover this page with them. It=92s
time for the people of God the world over to stand up for Israel and
the Jewish people, and tell these Islamic devils to stop, that we are
tired of the media lies and deceptions.

War is very near

We have been sent here to be a service to God=92s people, I say we,
because you too must listen to that small still voice, for the
Golden=92s without the Body we have been joined together with can do
nothing. This is a Body Ministry, and it is time to sacrifice. God has
asked the Golden=92s to give everything to Him, what has He asked you to
sacrifice? War is very near and I pray we will be the witness we have
been sent here to be. We still have time to make preparations.

Shalom, jerry golden
