Zavul is used in the Tanakh [Old Testament] as a description of the fourth heaven, one of seven, where the heavenly Temple of G-d dwells. In the Hebrew Bible, there are seven words meaning heaven, but never translated into English: Vilon, Rakia, Shechakim, Zebul, Maon, Machon, Araboth...

Zevul is the fourth heaven. Celestial Y'rushalayim [Jerusalem] is in the fourth heaven. It is also where the heavenly Temple and altar is erected and where G-d and HaMashiach [The Messiah] dwell...

The small town of Natzeret (Nazareth) in the Galil (Galilee) was in the heart of the land of Zevulun, which again, means 'habitation.' And living in Natzeret there was a betrothed (married) virgin--bethulah--named Miriyam [Mary] as it is recorded...

In summary: G-d chose to dwell in the bethulah and to dwell in the land of Zevulun, a land that G-d would bless because it was an image of His dwelling in the heavenly Temple of the fourth heaven, called habitation (Zevel).

(Signs in the Heavens, Avi Ben Mordechai)

Several heavens were created, seven in fact, each to serve a purpose of its own. The first, the one visible to man, has no function except that of covering up the light during the night time; therefore it disappears every morning. The planets are fastened to the second of the heavens; in the third the manna is made for the pious in the hereafter; the fourth contains the celestial Jerusalem together with the Temple, in which Michael ministers as high priest, and offers the souls of the pious as sacrifices. In the fifth heaven, the angel hosts reside, and sing the praise of God, though only during the night, for by day it is the task of Israel on earth to give glory to God on high. The sixth heaven is an ucanny spot; there originate most of the trials and visitations ordained for the earth and its inhabitants. Snow lies heaped up there and hail; there are lofts full of noxious dew, magazines stocked with storms, and cellars holding reserves of smoke. Doors of fire separate these celestial chambers...

Corresponding to the seven heavens, God created seven earths, each separated from the next by five layers. Over the lowest earth, the seventh, called Erez, lie in succession the abyss, the Tohu, the Bohu, a sea, and waters. Then the sixth earth is reached, the Adamah, the scene of the magnificence of God. In the same way the Adamah is separated from the fifth earth, the Arka, which contains Gehenna, and Sha'are Mawet, and Sha'are Zalmawet, and Beer Shahat, and Tit ha-Yawen, and Abaddon, and Sheol, and there the souls of the wicked are guarded by the Angels of Destruction. In the same way Arka is followed by Harabah, the dry, the place of brooks and streams in spite of its name, as the next, called Yabbashah, the mainland, contains the rivers and the springs. Tebel, the second earth, is the first mainland inhabited by living creatures, three hundred and sixty-five species, all essentially different from those of our own earth...Our own earth is called Heled, and, like the others, it is separated from the Tebel by an abyss, the Tohu, the Bohu, a sea, and waters.

Thus one earth rises above the other, from the first to the seventh, and over the seventh earth the heavens are vaulted, from the first to the seventh, the last of them attached to the arm of God. the seven heavens form a unity, the seven kinds of earth form a unity, and the heavens and the earth together also form a unity.

...Paradise with its seven divisions, each assigned to the pious of a certain degree.

Hell has seven divisions, one beneath the other. They are called Sheol, Abaddon, Beer Shahat, Tit ha-Yawen, Sha'are Mawet, Sha'are Zalmawet, and Gehenna...Each of the seven divisions in turn has seven subdivisions, and in each compartment there are seven rivers of fire and seven of hail...There are besides, in every compartment seven thousand caves, in every cave there are seven thousand crevices, and in every crevice seven thousand scorpions. Every scorpion has three hundred rings, and in every ring seven thousand pouches of venom, from which flow seven rivers of deadly poison...

(The Legends of the Jews, Volume One, Louis Ginzberg)

Job 38
Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb? When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddling-band for it. And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors, And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed? Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place; That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it? It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment. And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken. Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth? Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death? Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all. Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof, That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths to the house thereof? Knowest thou it, because thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is great? Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war? By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth? Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder; to cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man; To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth? Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew? Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it? The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen. Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons? Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth? Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee? Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are? Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart? Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven, When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together? Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions, When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait? Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.

ANCIENT WEDDING PRACTICE: PREPARING A PLACE
During the betrothal period, the bridegroom would prepare a wedding chamber for the honeymoon. This chamber was typically built in the bridegroom's father's house. The wedding chamber had to be a beautiful place to bring the bride. The bride and groom were to spend seven days there. The wedding chamber had to be built to the groom's father's specifications. The young man could go for his bride only when his father approved. If the bridegroom was asked when the wedding was to be, he might well say "it is not for me to know, only my father knows."

JESUS' FULFILLMENT: SEVEN DAYS IN WEDDING CHAMBER
Ancient Jewish eschatology taught that a seven year "time of trouble" would come upon the earth before the coming of the Messiah. During that time of trouble, the righteous would be resurrected and would enter the wedding chamber where they would be protected from the time of trouble. Today that seven year period is referred to as the tribulation.

("Weddings of Ancient Israel - A Picture of the Messiah" [an article from Return to God Magazine, Volume 1 Number 2, page 22])

In ancient Jewish eschatology, it was believed that time was a seven thousand year period, starting with the creation of the Heavens and the Earth in Genesis 1 and ending with the Messianic Kingdom in years 6000 - 7000 (Revelation 21). Time was divided into three stages of 2000 years: Years 1-2000 (after the fall) called Tohu or desolation, years 2000-4000 called Torah, or instruction (after the giving of the law), and years 4000-6000 called Y'mot Mashiach, or days of the Messiah (starting with the Messiah's birth in the 4000th year). We are currently in this time period. In the 6000th year the Messianic Kingdom is thought to begin until year 7000, when the Olam Haba or eternity will begin. Ancient Rabbis saw the 7 days of a week as a pattern of the seven thousand year plan of God. They believed that the Sabbath was a picture of the Messianic Kingdom, which we refer to as the Millennium.

("Celebrate the Sabbath!" [an article from Return to God Magazine, Volume 1 Number 1, page 27])

Just as the number seven is found repeatedly hidden beneath the text of Scripture we find the same number used repeatedly by the Creator in His physical creation of the universe and its inhabitants. There are precisely seven colors in the light spectrum that merge together to form light. The study of music again reveals that there are exactly seven musically whole tones in the scale. Every eighth musical note creates a new higher octave repeating the pattern of seven tones. The seven colors correspond to the seven musical notes. In another manifestation of design, the whole human body is effectively renewed at the cellular level every seven years. By the end of seven years almost every single cell of our flesh, organs and bones will be replaced with new cells manufactured according to an incredibly complex genetic program in our DNA. Our blood pulse rate slows down noticeably every seven days throughout our life. The gestation cycle to produce a baby takes 280 days (7 x 40). Our lives are marked with the number seven as God commanded us to rest every seventh day and noted that our life expectancy is seventy years (7 x 10). Almost all of the animals have gestation periods that are multiples of seven: lion = 98 days; sheep = 147 days; hens = 21 days; ducks = 28 days; cats = 56 days; dogs = 63 days.

The number "seven" in Hebrew is derived from the root word meaning "to be full, satisfied, or have enough of" while another meaning of the root is "to swear," or "to make an oath." We find "seven" appearing on the surface of the biblical text as well as in prominent places, including the seven spirits or manifestations of God (Isa 11:2); the seven-fold blessing of Abraham (Gen 12:2,3); God's seven-fold covenant with Israel (Exo 6:6-8); and the marvelous design of sevens found int he Book of Revelation. John describes seven groups of seven in his Apocalypse including: 7 churches, 7 seals, 7 trumpets, 7 vials, 7 personages, 7 dooms and 7 new things.

While we do not yet have a complete answer that meets the high standards of scientific certainty, we are reasonably sure that:

Most of the matter in the Universe is not in the form of stars. Instead it is dark, with its presence revealed only by its gravitational pull.

Ordinary matter, such as you and I are made of, accounts for only one seventh of this dark matter.

Gate 49

When the Jewish People left Egypt, they were hovering over the precipice of spiritual annihilation. They were at the last gate. 49 gates of tuma (spiritual impurity) exist in this world and the Jewish People were at the threshold of oblivion.

49 is 7 times 7. When you square a number, it reaches its ultimate expression. It is the thing times itself; nothing can be a greater revelation of essence than that. Thus, 49 is the furthest reach of seven-ness in this world. And seven is this world: There are seven notes in the scale, seven days in the week and seven colors in the rainbow. Seven in Sound. Seven in Time. Seven in Space.
